We also know that the loss of a four-legged family friend is heartbreaking. While no kitten can ever be replaced, we believe that adding a new companion can help ease the pain. That is why we offer a comprehensive health guarantee to protect your investment and give you peace of mind.
Two-Year Genetic Health Guarantee
In the unfortunate event that your Ragdoll kitten needs to be put down within the first two years of life due to a genetic defect, congenital disorder, or hereditary condition that adversely affects its health, we will replace your kitten with your choice from any of our available litters.
Requirements:
The cause of death or condition must be certified and recorded by a licensed veterinarian
In cases where the kitten has not died but has a confirmed genetic condition, we may request x-rays or a second opinion to verify the diagnosis
Partial Credit for Genetic Conditions After Two Years
If a genetic condition or hereditary disorder is diagnosed after your Ragdoll kitten turns two years old, we will provide you with 50% credit of your original purchase price toward a new Ragdoll kitten for sale from any of our breeding pairs.
Requirements:
The condition must be certified by a licensed veterinarian
We may request x-rays or a second opinion from a veterinarian of our choice to confirm the diagnosis
What This Guarantee Does Not Cover
We are committed to transparency. Please understand that this health guarantee does not cover:
Reimbursement of veterinary bills associated with your kitten
Routine illnesses or conditions that require standard veterinary care
Disposition, temperament, conformation, size, weight, color, or breeding ability
Hip or elbow dysplasia if your kitten is overweight or if you cannot provide a history of joint supplements, proper diet, and premium food—any food changes must be approved by us to maintain this guarantee
Your Responsibilities as a New Ragdoll Kitten Owner
Nothing makes us happier than knowing we have helped bring a happy, healthy Ragdoll kitten into your family. To ensure your kitten thrives, we ask that you:
Pre-Adoption Veterinary Examination
We will have a licensed veterinarian examine your Ragdoll kitten no more than one week before you take possession. We ask that you have your own veterinarian examine your kitten within 5 days of receiving them.
Vaccinations & Deworming
Your Ragdoll kitten with health guarantee will come with all age-appropriate vaccinations and dewormings completed. We will provide a copy of all medical records, including recommendations for the next set of vaccinations. After that, you and your veterinarian should establish a continued care plan.
Exceptions That Will Void This Guarantee
To maintain this health guarantee, you must provide proper care. The following will void the guarantee:
Failure to maintain routine medical care, including annual veterinary exams, vaccines, deworming, heartworm prevention, and flea/tick prevention
Failure to provide adequate nutrition, including a history of joint supplements and premium foods if hip or elbow dysplasia is diagnosed
Changes to diet without prior approval from us
Failure to provide a second opinion or x-rays when requested
Hip or elbow dysplasia diagnosed without proper documentation of weight management and joint care
Spaying & Neutering
This health guarantee does not include any costs associated with spaying or neutering your Ragdoll kitten, including the treatment of undescended testicles.
